Sketch 217

Hi all! It's really great to scrapbook again. I was super busy the last few days! Whew! At the same time, I am behind at Scrapbook Challenges, but I do hope to catch up :) This is my sketch 217. I used Webster's Pages products and I crocheted a scalloped trim.

Background paper was cut using the Spellbinder Nestabilities, and I stamped it with Stampin' Up script stamp. The medallion below is from designersdigital.com with Making Memories circle tag maker rim. For added dimension, I used Glossy Accent by Ranger.

This label is one of the fabric fancies by WP. I used Making Memories oval tag maker trim to compliment the sketch. Enjoy!

Sketch 215

When I used a photo strip on another layout, I decided to do another one but with my pictures. These photo were taken when we were riding out to attend a house blessing. I have my camera so I started to take several shots of us. When I saw sketch 215, I had to use my photo strip.

Sketch 214

Creating the border for this layout was quite a workout since it was my first time using this stencil to create the border.

Sketch 213

This is my sketch. I crocheted a border scallop. It was quite challenging crocheting with paper because paper seems to tear up, but I did it!

Sketch 212 & Webster Pages

Cousin S shown me her layout that used the hidden journal technique and I thought I should try it out. When I saw Sketch 212, I knew this is where I will try it. I used Webster Page's paper, which I dread to use because I love staring at my WP papers.

Here is how I hid my journal. Enjoy!

Sketch 211

When I saw this sketch, I knew what pictures to use, which were taken a long time ago. These pictures were taken we were on our way to attend a house blessing, and at the same time, I got my new camera as a gift. So to get to know my camera, I brought it with me and start taking picture of P and myself during the ride. I have another photo strip with my pictures on it. I hope to create a layout using those pictures someday.

Prima August BAP

For this layout, I used the Prima Watercolor Paintables though I used colored pencils.

Pagemaps challenge

I thought I won't be able to finish this layout on time since I am also finishing other layout to submit at Scrapbook Challenges. I am happy to share with you this layout. It was my first time using Heidi Swapp's Invicibles paper and Glimmer mist. I think my layout turned out as I expected. Enjoy!

Sketch 207: Pieces of You

When I saw this sketch, I already knew what paper to use. The background paper is DCVW Spring Stack Collection, and I cut the flowers and butterflies from SEI paper.

The heart is a weaved with ribbon, and I used Prima's Say it in crystals. Alphabet Chipboards by K & Company, which I added rhinestones.

Sketch 206: Days like these

Hi everyone! I am proud to finish Sketch 206 because of the "journaling" I have. As you know fellow scrapper, journaling is one of the issues we have to deal with. This was written a long time ago, and it is just waiting to be used for the right layout. And here it is!

Scrapbook Challenge: Sketch 202

I thought it would be fun to use our vacation pictures for this sketch. I fell in love with paper tearing, a technique I just learned. It was fun because it give more dimension to the layout, and I am happy that I am not afraid to tear my precious scrapbook paper :)

These are my nephews and a niece residing in the Philippines. This was our vacation last year in Bagiuo City. Time really does fly fast! The last time I saw them they were just kids. Now, some of them are taller than me. I miss them!

Happy Day

This is my first time entering the Prima's BAP challenge. Scary at first to tackle this month's layout, but I had fun doing it.
Pictures were taken at the Bagiuo Botanical Garden. It was indeed a Happy day. Enjoy!

I altered the Collage paper flower to give it more dimension.

Pagemaps Challenge Layout

Here is the layout I created inspired by the Pagemaps' Webster's Page layout challenge. This picture was taken during the ceremony. It was a great day and the proudest I've been. My degree is B.S. Mechanical Engineer. Hence, the gears :)

I used Karen Foster's tranparency paper. When I saw this and all the math formulas written (gosh!), it brought back memories of all the too many math classes I had to take especially the pop quizzes (whew!).

The horizontal strip is made of gear stencils that I created, and I use Vintage photo & Tea dye distress inks. Metal accents by Tim Holtz. (Love these!!!)

I used DCWV floral prints paper pack for the paper flowers. It also represents the feminine side of me now that I practice as a Mech Engr. The butterfly is from Heidi Swapp lathered with lots of Stickles (Love these too!!!).

My diploma was shrinked to fit my layout (with 3D effects). "Congrats" metal accent is a gift tag by Colorbok.

Me & Heidi Swapp

Everyday, I visit all of my favorite blogs, and yesterday on heidi swapp's blog she mentioned that she will be teaching a class at Scrapbook Island in San Jose, California on April 8. The moment I read that I was like "oh my gosh! this is my opportunity to see and meet her, and create with her (of course along with other scrapbookers!)" so I called the store the moment they open and hoped that they still have an open spot. And they did! I was very happy. I was very excited.

Today, when I saw Heidi in the classroom, I was awestruck because she is one of the people I admire in the scrapbooking world. I've also admired her work, ideas, and products. The class was fun! fun! fun!. I enjoyed it very much. I just wished I was able attend her class the whole day (well maybe next time!). Attending the class was relaxing for me! I love scrapbooking! I hope Heidi that you come and visit us soon.

Material used: Designer Digitals: KPertiet Photocluster no 7; AVictoria Everyday Amazing Brush
